Walking with God is such an amazing journey.  It is both amazing hard and amazingly fulfilling.  The harder the walk, the more fulfilling the journey.

I long to have a deep connection to God and I know exactly where I need to start, prayer and reflection on the scriptures.  So, if it is so simple, why is it so hard.  Don't know.

But I do know that I will be asking for God's help and help from the group to stay strong and focused on my walk with God.

This week at God Squad we are going to visit Judea, the place where the disciples lived and grew up and visited their families.  We'll think about how we should live better with our families and friends.  What is God calling each of us to do to honor our families and friends?

In the mean time, stay strong on the Jerusalem walk, the place where the disciples walked with their Lord, and our, Jesus Christ.

Happy travels,  Kyle

Wouldn't it be great to know someone famous.  I think it would be amazing to be buds with Brad Pitt.  Or to pick up my cell and call my buddy Peyton Manning.  But I don't know either of those guys and if I did call their cell phone I'm sure they would hang up on me if they even answered my call at all.

Not the same way with God.  I know God's voice and God knows mine.  How awesome is that!  I often wish I knew God's voice better and I knew better what to say to God when we chat, but still I do literally know my God and my God knows me.  That's much different than knowing about Brad or Peyton.  Knowing someone is so much more meaningful than knowing about someone.

For my life to be an outflow of God's love, like a fountain of God's love that others stop to wonder at, I need to be at a place in my life where I have been both talking to God and listening to God's voice when God talks to me.

God, help me put off those things that distract me from speakng and just spending time with you.  Help me to be so close to you that my life is an outflow of your great love.  Amen.

How do we tell others about what Jesus means to us without sounding like a salesperson?

Even more challenging, how do we invite others to experience the life and hope we have come to know through being a follower of Jesus?

I'm looking forward to learning more about that when we study Outflow over the coming months in God Squad.

Visit the blog again in the coming weeks to read about living an Outflow life through Jesus our savior and our king.
